ROTTNEST CHANNEL SWIM

If you’re a strong swimmer and want to help families going through a difficult time, don’t miss the Rottnest Channel Swim which will raise money for the CanDo Cancer trust.
The challenge is open for schools and businesses to compete and is made up of 30 minute timeslots for teams of four to six swimmers to swim as many laps as they can to make up 19.7km or 394 laps.

Entry into the challenge for each team is $250 which is donated to the CanDo Cancer Trust, a local cancer charity who help to pay household bills for those suffering from cancer.
Awards for the Day are:
– Best Business House
– Most Laps Completed
– Best Community Team
– School Community Award
Competitors will receive a T-shirt and official Rottnest Channel swim cap.

WOOLGOOLGA BOWLS DAY

The Coffs Harbour Freemasons are major sponsors for CanDo Cancer Trust for the Cex Woolgoolga Charity Bowls Day, The Freemasons hold this event annually to raise much needed funds for CanDo Cancer Trust. Participants make up teams of four and can play lawn bowls, indoor bowls or bouche. Cost is $10.00 per person which includes a sausage sizzle and a game of bowls.
Heaps of prizes can be won in a mega raffle drawn at 12.45pm on the day. Bowls provided- no experience necessary.

SAWTELL CHARITY BOWLS DAY

The  Sawtell Charity Bowls Day begins at  9.00am for morning tea and then commencement of bowls at 9.30.a.m
Cost is $10.00 per person which  includes game of bowls and the sausage sizzle.
There are plenty of rink prizes and raffles with loads of fun for everyone. Get family and friends together to make up teams of three or join in as a single entry. No experience necessary.

PINK SILK LADIES RACE DAY

This special pink day is in aid of the fantastic work the Pink Silks Trust perform. The Coffs Harbour Pink Silks Perpetual Trust is a local registered charity, committed to raising awareness and funds for local women who are challenged by illness, either through assisting support groups, buying capital equipment or starting a service here in the Coffs Harbour region, that normally would require women to travel away from family and friends. Dress to impress with a touch of pink! Enjoy the many activities on the day including kids fun, live auction and silent auction and Fashions on the Field.

SUMMER BEACH PARTY

In honouring one of Cando’s greatest benefactors, the late Wayne Glenn, a formal beach party fundraiser is held annually at the Coffs Harbour Yacht Club.
Wayne was a great advocate for Coffs Harbour and Cando and the Wayne Glenn Memorial Trust has been his legacy. Funds raised will specifically assist men dealing with men’s cancer. Dress is formal beach wear and there is live entertainment, auctions and raffles.
Also prizes for best dressed men, women, couples and groups.

BCU TRIATHLON

The Coffs Triathlon is a weekend of multi-sport events for ages six and over . It is held around the picturesque Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshores incorporating a harbour swim and closed roads for the cycle and run legs.
The event is held over two days. Saturday’s events include the Coffs Kids Tri for ages 6-13 and an Enticer Triathlon for ages 13+ (300m swim, 7km cycle, 2km run). The inclusion of short distance events for novices and children means the event promises to be fun for everyone, regardless of age or fitness.
Sunday’s program includes the Standard/Olympic Distance Triathlon (1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run) open to Individuals and Teams.
All proceeds from the Coffs Triathlon go to local children’s charities and community groups and clubs who assist with supplying volunteers to help out on course.
